DIVERSITY LEADERS Boot Camp - September 2010: Manifestos




Supporting our mission to produce Black Leadership for the Digital Age: Culturally Conscious Role Models and Meaningful Participants in the Digital Landscape, Message Media Ed presents, Diversity Leaders Boot Camp. This is a 4-hour workshop intensive that combines the African American experience with media education and leadership development activities, as professional development tools. Upon completion, youth share their manifestos: a statement of their vision for their community and the role they commit to playing in achieving that vision. This is an African Centered, Media Education and Empowerment Workshop Intensive designed to introduce creative ways to enhance youth/adult communication, build healthy youth images, explore life goals, and develop a support network for leadership in the Digital Age. Also, come prepared to collaborate, produce media and have fun, in a supportive and creative space!

1. This workshop is designed for YOUTH (AGES 13-17). ALL YOUTH MUST HAVE AN ADULT SPONSOR (Parent, Mentor, Guardian, Family Member) AND THAT SPONSOR MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE FULL WORKSHOP AS WELL.
